Namaste. I , Chetan Shantilal Lakhani , residing at Porbandar , and trustee of Porbandar Lohana Mahajan, would like to inform you about loss of my beloved son Shrey due to negligence of Doctor. My son was suffering from pain in stomach and so we referred Dr Vivek Joshi on Dt 9.5.2016 at his hospital *"Saurashtra Stone Clinic", situated at 6, Manhar Plot, Rajkot.* There he was diagnosed of having Stone and need to be operated at his hospital by Lithography and place a temporary Stent as a part of process. Operation was done on the same day and we got discharged on Dt. 10.5.2016 i.e. next day. At time of descharge, we were asked to visit hospital after a week for post operative checkup. Next Week i.e. on Dt 16.5.2016, I and my son Shrey came to Rajkot for checkup as instructed by Dr. Vivek Joshi, at 11.00am. After checkup, I was informed that a part of stone is yet present and need to be re-operated. As per his instruction, I admitted my son Shrey (In Room No.202) in his hospital and waited for operation. We were called at near about 12.45pm for operation. So we went to Operation Theater, where his assistant Mr Dhanji Jaadav Rathod was present. The Assistant asked my son Shrey to sleep on Operation Table, and asked me to get Injections & other required medicines as prescribed by the Doctor in his prescription. Those injections and medicines were given to my son Shrey by the Assistant Dhanji Rathod in absence of Dr Vivek Joshi , and no other staff was also present in the OT. I saw Assistant Mr. Dhanji gave total 3-4 different injections via Glucose bottle and on backside to my son shrey. After injections were given , my son was just able to speak "Daddy I am feeling pain in Chest" and fainted. To which I thought he went to sedation due to injections and medicines. But i saw assistant Mr Dhanji uneasy and Flurry. I felt that unusual , and suddenly i saw Monitor that was showing BP "35/55". There I senses something dangerous , so i asked him why it is so ?? To this, he replied that its fault in machine and he will change the machine. Even in this situation only Mr Dhanji was working and trying to change the machine , no other staff from hospital came for his help , neither he called anyone. After sometime he called other staff and also tried to give oxygen to my son Shrey , but none of present staff were able to give oxygen to my son. Then they started giving ventilator support to my son , but even the ventilator available with the hospital was not electronic. They were using black rubber bag for pumping. Nothing worked , as all their efforts of 20 minutes after giving injections went in vein. Then they called Dr Vivek Joshi and informed him about the situation. They also called doctor from nearby Gokul Hospital's ICU. But too much time was wasted to take action and by the time Doctors arrived my son Shrey succumbed. I lost my 17 Year Son Shrey. I didnt knew Dhanji Rathod in the beginning , but later came to know that this assistant is only HSC pass who did all procedures and also gave injections and other medicines to my son. I came to Dr Vivek Joshi for treatment of my son Shrey, and he was not present in OT at the time when pre operative procedures were getting done by his assistant who is not authorised to carry on any procedures related to operation or medication. Anesthesia was given by such an unprofessional person and no anesthetist was present for this. And due to such an irresponsible behaviour of *Dr Vivek Joshi* , I lost my 17 year old son Shrey. *Dr Vivek Joshi's* complete unprofessional approach towards my son as a patient gave me and my family a deep wound and a non recoverable loss. Anything in this world will now not bring my son Shrey back to life , but I wish that now no one else loose their loved ones due to such neglegence , irresponsible & unprofessional behaviour of *Dr. Vivek Joshi.* So I would like you to consider the matter and help me getting justice to my Son and Strict Punishment to *Dr. Vivek Joshi* and his assistant. *
